I had an interest in art since my schooldays. I was often caught drawing during class. So, in fact, my interest in art was born out of boredom – anything but to listen and concentrate when teachers taught.
My art covers a big spectrum of subjects ranging from people, to animals and landscapes. My preferred media is oil paint and pencil. I love contrast and experimenting with colours on the canvas – then stand back and look at the result. As I am self-taught, every painting is a lesson with the result that I probably will never stop learning. I am privileged doing what I love as a profession.
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa and lived at different places in Western Cape where I also had several exhibitions. Now I am living in Germany. My current art can be permanently seen in Potsdam-Babelsberg. You are welcome to visit.
